Party With the Voters Tonight at These L.A. Election Watch Parties

Posted

For generations, the simple act of waiting in line and chatting up your neighbor used to be a big part of election day in Los Angeles. Today, statistics show that only 15% of L.A.’s 5.9 million registered voters choose to vote in person. As of this morning, nearly 40% of those voters have either mailed in a ballot or dropped it in a receptacle. Polling places are open until 8 p.m. tonight, so you still have a chance to make your decision and go cast a vote.

There’s always excitement around whatever school auditorium or senior center is magically transformed into a polling place on a Tuesday in November. So whether you mailed in your ballot or waited in line and still crave the community that comes along with Election Day, here are a few bars, restaurants and fun parties happening this evening where you can watch the results roll in.
