Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has resigned from the National Conference, describing his resignation as an 'Azadinaama'. Accusing the party leadership of betraying the public mandate and failing to fulfil promises on Article 370, constitutional rights and reservation, Ruhullah also launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He announced plans to unite committed youth from Jammu and Kashmir on a new platform for political and social change.
